About the Position
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join a growing Interventional Radiology team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced Interventional Radiologists, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care while supporting a wide range of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a collaborative hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations.
- Evaluate and manage patients before and after interventional radiology procedures.
- Conduct inpatient rounds and coordinate ongoing patient care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.
- Assist with inpatient and outpatient consultations.
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
- Document clinical encounters accurately in the EMR.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support program growth.
- Perform procedures within the scope of practice and credentialing.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- NCCPA Certified.
- Active or eligible Virginia PA license.
- DEA certification or eligibility.
- Experience in Interventional Radiology, Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, or Hospital Medicine preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
