Job Requirements

  • Board certification or fellowship training required
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an approved residency in Anesthesiology
  • Active physician license preferred; candidates needing to obtain a New York state license may be considered
  • At least 1 year of anesthesiology experience required
  • ECFMG and FLEX required, if applicable
  • Strong clinical judgment and a commitment to safe, patient-centered care

Responsibilities

  • Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the anesthesia department
  • Provide medical management for patients undergoing surgery and other procedures
  • Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and verify patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and perioperative care with patients
  • Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitor patients’ physiological status throughout procedures
  • Perform clinical interventions as needed to support patient safety and comfort
  • Participate in scheduled call coverage for anesthesia services
