About the Position

Our client in California is actively seeking a Gastroenterologist for a 50-day assignment starting Oct 5, 2026. This Physician will work 1-2 weeks per month, with weekday shifts from 8am-5pm, and will include weeknight and 24-hour weekend call availability. The role involves a mix of clinic and inpatient consults, procedures, and scheduled endoscopies and colonoscopies, focusing on a variety of digestive disorders.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform a mix of clinic and inpatient consults and procedures.
• Conduct scheduled endoscopies, colonoscopies, and other GI lab procedures.
• Provide care for routine appointments, consults, and various digestive disorders.
• Manage inpatient duties, including GI bleeds, when on call.
• Participate in a call schedule that may include 24-hour weekend call and 1-2 weeknights per week.
• No ERCP or EUS procedures are required for this role.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required.
• The EMR system utilized is Cerner.
