About the Position
Our client in Virginia is actively seeking a dedicated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment, beginning Aug 24, 2026. This vital role focuses on advanced heart failure, heart transplant evaluations, and LVAD patient management, with no outpatient responsibilities. Specific shift hours are noted as see below.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Advanced heart failure
- Heart transplant evaluations and follow-up
- Post-heart transplant management
- LVAD patients
- Cardiomyopathy
- Pulmonary hypertension
- Cardiac transplant rejection monitoring
- Immunosuppressive medication management
- New patient evaluations and follow-up visits
- Medication management and titration
- Review labs, ECGs, echocardiograms, and biopsy results
- Coordinate multidisciplinary transplant care
- Hospital admissions/discharges (inpatient)
- Patient education
