A community hospital in south-central Pennsylvania is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist for a one-week locum tenens assignment providing 24-hour inpatient call coverage.

This opportunity offers the chance to manage a broad spectrum of inpatient and emergency urologic cases while working in a collaborative community hospital environment utilizing Epic EMR. Physicians will provide hospital-based surgical coverage, emergency consultations, and telephone support for affiliated regional facilities.

Providers with strong communication skills and comprehensive general urology experience are encouraged to apply.

Assignment Highlights
  • Seven consecutive 24-hour call shifts

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide 24-hour inpatient urology call coverage
  • Evaluate emergency department consults
  • Perform urgent and emergent surgical procedures
  • Round on hospitalized urology patients
  • Manage inpatient admissions
  • Perform emergency operative interventions
  • Coordinate care with emergency medicine and hospitalist teams
  • Provide telephone consultation to affiliated hospitals
  • Complete documentation using Epic EMR
