About the Position
We are seeking a Locums Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality medical care to residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) throughout the Centennial Hills and Northwest Valley areas of Las Vegas, Nevada. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys caring for geriatric and post-acute patients while working independently in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Compensation: $100-$110 Per Hour
Assignment Details
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
- No hospital responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary and post-acute care services to skilled nursing facility residents.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Perform routine follow-up visits, admissions, and discharge evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies.
- Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation therapists, and facility administrators to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and disease management.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current, active, unrestricted Nevada RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses.
- DEA registration.
- Minimum of one year of Nurse Practitioner experience; experience in Skilled Nursing, Geriatrics, Post-Acute Care, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care preferred.
- Current TB screening required.
- Candidates must reside in or near the Las Vegas metropolitan area.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and independent clinical decision-making skills.
