Job Requirements

• Active Illinois medical license required; IMLC not accepted
• MD or DO required
• Minimum 1 year of vascular surgery or general surgery experience required
• Must be comfortable working in a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Ability to perform both open and endovascular procedures required
• Clean background required
• Ability to support a flexible, as-needed locum tenens coverage model

Responsibilities

• Provide vascular surgery coverage for a busy, growing practice in Rockford, Illinois
• Evaluate and manage an average census of 5-10 patients per day
• Perform approximately 6 outpatient elective procedures
• Complete both open and endovascular surgical procedures
• Collaborate with APPs, surgeons, and nursing staff to deliver efficient, team-based patient care
• Support rounding and clinic coverage as needed
• Adapt to variable coverage dates based on department and hospital needs
