About the Position

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner for a 90-day assignment with our client in North Carolina, starting Oct 7, 2026. This role involves 14-hour shifts from 5p to 7a, with responsibilities for accepting and admitting patients, cross-covering patients on the floor and Hospital at Home, and providing virtual ED consults to regional sites.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Accept and admit patients.
  • Cross-cover patients on the floor and Hospital at Home as needed.
  • Provide virtual ED consults to regional sites.
  • Participate in Code Blue and PRRT teams with the ED team.


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Acute Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC)
  • EMR: Epic
  • Shift hours: 14 hours from 5p to 7a
  • CHIPS physician back-up is available by phone throughout the shift.
  • Private office space is available to do work on the unit, and a call room is also available.
  • The unit is a pediatric unit with an on-site Pediatric ED, with an average daily census of 6.
