About the Position
We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 48-day assignment in North Carolina, starting Jul 29, 2026. This role involves autonomous work within a provider-MA-front desk model, managing a high volume of urgent care patients. The schedule typically features 12-hour shifts on weekdays and 8-hour shifts on weekends, focusing on acute care, cold, cough, flu, I&D, suturing, lacerations, and reading EKGs and X-rays.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work autonomously within a provider, MA, and front desk team model.
- Manage a high volume of patients, typically 40+ per 12-hour shift.
- Address urgent care cases including acute illnesses, colds, coughs, and flu.
- Perform procedures such as incision and drainage (I&D), suturing, and laceration repair.
- Primarily treat the adult patient population.
- Interpret EKGs and X-rays.
