About the Position

Our client in Iowa is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a 4-day assignment starting Jul 24, 2026. This role involves 24-hour shifts with 24/7 call coverage, primarily focusing on emergency department and inpatient floor coverage. The successful candidate will manage 6-8 ED encounters daily, participate in 8 am rounding, and address cases such as CHF, Cellulitis, COPD, and Gastro.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide coverage for the Emergency Department and Inpatient floor
  • Work 24-hour shifts
  • Manage 24/7 call coverage
  • Participate in 8 am rounding with the interdisciplinary team
  • Conduct weekly swing bed rounding for transition of care discussions
  • Handle an average of 6-8 ED encounters per day
  • Treat cases with acuity including CHF, Cellulitis, COPD, and Gastro
