Position Overview

A well-established acute care hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Critical Care Physician for a PRN locum opportunity starting late August. This role offers flexible scheduling with night and weekend coverage in a collaborative ICU environment.

Schedule & Coverage

• PRN coverage (as needed)
• Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Weekend options:
  • 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  • 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• No call required

Practice Details

• 20-bed adult ICU
• Average daily census: 16–19 patients
• Weekend census: ~8–10 patients (with 2 attendings)
• Supervision of Internal Medicine residents
• Procedures required if residents unavailable
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Critical Care
• Active Massachusetts license (required)
• BLS & ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience

Additional Information

• PRN role covering gaps in schedule
• Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days
