About the Position

A reputable acute care hospital in New York is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (Gastroenterology) for a long-term locum assignment with a stable weekday schedule and no call.

📍 Location: Potsdam, NY
🗓 Start Date: July 6, 2026
⏳ Duration: 6 months (extension possible)

💼 Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• No call required
• Full-time coverage

🩺 Role & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage GI/Internal Medicine patients
• Provide patient education and treatment plans
• Perform documentation in line with compliance standards
• Collaborate with physicians on complex cases
• Order and monitor treatments and medications

📊 Work Environment:

• Patient volume: 14–18 per day
• Adult patient population
• EMR: Epic
• Support staff includes NP, LPN, and anesthesia team

✅ Requirements:

• Active New York PA License (required)
• Minimum 3 years of recent experience
• AHA BLS certification
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Epic experience preferred
