About the Position

Position Overview 

One of our Partners in Minnesota is seeking a Board-Certified Thoracic Surgeon for a highly desirable locum tenens opportunity within a nationally recognized cancer program.

This assignment offers a balanced schedule consisting of clinic, surgery, and procedural time while providing access to advanced thoracic oncology cases, robotic surgery, minimally invasive thoracic procedures, and multidisciplinary cancer care.

Providers will work within a collaborative environment supported by physician assistants, nurse navigators, clinic nursing staff, and experienced surgical teams. The opportunity is ideal for thoracic surgeons seeking advanced oncologic cases, robotic surgery exposure, and long-term continuity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage thoracic oncology patients
  • Perform thoracic oncologic surgical procedures
  • Perform robotic thoracic surgery
  • Perform VATS procedures
  • Perform advanced bronchoscopy procedures
  • Manage mediastinal, pleural, chest wall, lung, and esophageal disease
  • Participate in multidisciplinary cancer conferences
  • Provide inpatient consultative services
  • Participate in shared overnight and weekend call
  • Complete documentation within Epic EMR
