Position Overview 

A North Dakota hospital is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for a low-volume, independent coverage locum opportunity with flexible scheduling and strong support resources onsite.

This role offers a unique combination of manageable patient volume and full-scope emergency care, ideal for physicians who enjoy autonomy and broad clinical exposure.

• $240/hour
• 12-hour shifts (days or nights)
• Average ~4 shifts per month
• Low volume (~12,000 annual visits)
• Single physician coverage

Ideal for physicians comfortable practicing independently in a rural or critical access setting.

Assignment Highlights

• Single physician coverage (no APP support)
• 12-hour shifts (6a–6p or 6p–6a)
• Primarily night shift coverage needed
• Low volume: ~12,000 annual visits
• Level IV Trauma Center
• Epic EMR (must be proficient)
• Sleep room available for providers
• HPA Healthcare is a Joint Commission–certified agency and active member of NALTO
• Lodging and mileage covered (no flights)
