About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated Hematologist/Oncologist Physician for a 60-day assignment in Iowa, starting Nov 2, 2026. This role involves managing clinic-based patient care, including consults, follow-up, and overseeing antineoplastic administration, with a schedule of 16 shifts per month, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Infrequent inpatient consults are also part of the duties, primarily involving fielding calls from hospitalists.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform consults and follow-up care.
- Oversee administration of antineoplastics in the clinic.
- Field phone calls from hospitalists for admitted patients.
- Manage cases involving antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy, and bone marrow biopsies.
- Provide infrequent inpatient consults as needed.
