About the Position

**Position Description**
We is seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac ICU APP (NP/PA) for a locums opportunity in Rochester, NY. This assignment is based within a specialized 16-bed Pediatric Cardiac Care Center caring for critically ill pediatric congenital cardiac patients in a high-acuity multidisciplinary environment.

The APP will function in a primary covering provider role managing complex pediatric cardiac ICU patients including:
• Pre/Post-operative pediatric cardiac surgery patients
• High-risk single ventricle physiology
• Arrhythmia management
• Vasopressor support
• External/Internal pacemakers
• VA/VV ECMO
• CRRT
• Adult congenital cardiac patients requiring ICU/post-op management

This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking advanced pediatric cardiac critical care exposure while working alongside intensivists, surgeons, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary care teams.

Assignment Details:
• Location: Rochester, NY
• Start Date: July 20, 2026
• End Date: January 16, 2027
• Duration: 6–9 months
• Schedule: 39 hrs/week
• 13-hour rotating Day/Night shifts
• 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends, holidays & callback coverage as needed

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU APP experience
• Strong knowledge of complex congenital cardiac anatomy & physiology
• Master’s Degree as Nurse Practitioner (if NP)
• Active New York RN & NP license in good standing
• Current national NP certification
• BLS (AHA) required
• PALS required
• Pediatric Acute Care NP certification preferred
