About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with Cardiothoracic Surgery experience for an immediate locum opportunity in New York.

Position Highlights

• Immediate start
• 6-month assignment
• Hospital-based CTICU
• 3 x 13-hour shifts per week
• Day or night shifts available
• Must be flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and a 7-day schedule as needed
• Level II Trauma Center
• EPIC EMR

Responsibilities

• Manage high-acuity CTICU patients
• Arterial line placement
• Central line placement
• Chest tube removals
• Swan-Ganz catheter placement
• Balloon pump removal
• Run codes and assist with open chest emergencies
• Work collaboratively with Intensivists and the cardiothoracic surgery team

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active New York License (Required)
• Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
• ACLS & BLS certifications
• COVID vaccination required
• Comfortable working in a high-acuity CTICU environment
