About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a 3-month locum assignment at a critical access hospital in coastal Massachusetts.

Position Highlights

• 📍 Massachusetts

• 📅 September–December 2026

• 🕒 Approximately 10–13 shifts per month

• 🌙 Primarily evening and night coverage

• 🖥️ Epic EMR

• 🏥 25-bed critical access hospital

• 👥 Annual ED volume approximately 13,000 visits

• 🩺 Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Clinical Environment

• Emergency Department attending coverage

• Approximately 20–24 patients per day

• Average pace of 2.5–3 patients per hour

• Limited onsite specialty support

• Experience in community, rural, or critical access settings is highly preferred

Requirements

• ✔ Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)

• ✔ Active Massachusetts medical license

• ✔ ACLS certification

• ✔ DEA registration

• ✔ Minimum 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience

• ❌ Internal Medicine and Family Medicine physicians will not be considered

Additional Details

• Credentialing timeframe: 3–4 months
