Job Requirements

• Board Certified in OB/GYN
• Active California medical license
• At least 1 year of recent OB/GYN experience in a hospital, labor and delivery, or OB hospitalist setting
• Ability to perform the required obstetric and gynecologic procedures listed for the role
• Clean background and no malpractice history
• Current BLS certification
• Self-query NPDB completed within the month of presentation

Responsibilities

• Provide OB hospitalist coverage for a variety of dates and patient care needs in a busy hospital environment
• Manage low-risk and high-risk pregnancies with a focus on quality women’s health care
• Interpret NST/CST/FSE and perform OB ultrasound interpretation, including Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted studies
• Support labor and delivery with routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps delivery decision-making, and cesarean section decision-making
• Handle complicated deliveries including C-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions
• Perform gynecologic procedures including surgical gynecology, ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive lysis of adhesions
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care as part of a collaborative healthcare team
