About the Position
We are seeking a Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locums opportunity in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. This position involves a mix of clinic work and on-call coverage, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, well-equipped setting with a variety of anesthesia cases.
Position Overview:
- Schedule:
- Clinic Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Call Schedule: 1:4 or 1:5 rotation (weekdays and weekends)
- Call Hours:
- Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekends: 3:00 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday
- Weekend Call: 1 night of call per week
- Clinic/Call Breakdown:
- 85% Outpatient
- 15% Inpatient
Cases/Procedures:
- Endoscopy
- General Surgery
- OB/GYN
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Urology
- Blocks (preferred but not required)
- No cardiac or neurosurgical cases
- EPIC / Dragon
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia care for various surgical procedures, including endoscopy, general surgery, OB/GYN, ortho, and urology.
- Administer anesthesia for outpatient and inpatient procedures as required.
- Respond to call as scheduled, providing anesthesia support for urgent or emergent procedures.
- Perform spinal and epidural anesthesia, along with venous and arterial catheters.
- Work collaboratively with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of CRNA experience preferred
- Proficiency in spinals, epidurals, venous catheters, and arterial catheters
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
- AHA PALS
- NBCRNA Certification
- Active Michigan CRNA License (required)
