About the Position

We are seeking a Locums Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locums opportunity in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. This position involves a mix of clinic work and on-call coverage, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, well-equipped setting with a variety of anesthesia cases.

Position Overview:

  • Schedule:

    • Clinic Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

    • Call Schedule: 1:4 or 1:5 rotation (weekdays and weekends)

    • Call Hours:

      • Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM

      • Weekends: 3:00 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday

    • Weekend Call: 1 night of call per week

    • Clinic/Call Breakdown:

      • 85% Outpatient

      • 15% Inpatient

Cases/Procedures:

  • Endoscopy

  • General Surgery

  • OB/GYN

  • Orthopedic Surgery

  • Urology

  • Blocks (preferred but not required)

  • No cardiac or neurosurgical cases

  • EPIC / Dragon

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide anesthesia care for various surgical procedures, including endoscopy, general surgery, OB/GYN, ortho, and urology.

  • Administer anesthesia for outpatient and inpatient procedures as required.

  • Respond to call as scheduled, providing anesthesia support for urgent or emergent procedures.

  • Perform spinal and epidural anesthesia, along with venous and arterial catheters.

  • Work collaboratively with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of CRNA experience preferred

  • Proficiency in spinals, epidurals, venous catheters, and arterial catheters

  • AHA BLS

  • AHA ACLS

  • AHA PALS

  • NBCRNA Certification

  • Active Michigan CRNA License (required)
