About the Position

We are seeking a Locums CRNA for a float position providing anesthesia coverage across Clare, Gladwin, and West Branch, Michigan. This is an independent practice model with a strong variety of bread-and-butter cases and a manageable call schedule primarily based in Clare.

Schedule

  • Regular Schedule: Monday–Friday

  • Shift Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (8-hour shifts)

Call Requirements

  • Call primarily based in Clare

  • No OB call

  • 1-hour response time required for Clare

  • Call Rotation: 1:3

  • 1–2 holidays per year

  • Weeknight Call: Until 11:00 PM

  • Weekend Call: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Practice Setting

  • Independent CRNA model

  • 80–90% Outpatient / 10–20% Inpatient

  • EMR: Epic

Case Mix & Procedures

  • Scopes / GI (GI cases at Gladwin only)

  • Bread-and-butter general anesthesia cases

  • Laparoscopic abdominal procedures

  • Ophthalmology (Cataracts)

  • Podiatry (4 days per month)

  • Orthopedics (½ day per month; includes blocks)

  • Vascular (occasionally, approx. 1 day per month)

  • Cardiology (TEEs, Cardioversions)

  • General anesthetics, MAC cases

  • Regional anesthesia (blocks optional; support available if refresher needed)

  • Ward & Emergency Department support (IV access, airway management, anesthesia expertise)

Requirements

  • Active Michigan license

  • ACLS

  • PALS

  • BLS

  • Experience practicing independently preferred
