About the Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Surgery Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Dickinson, North Dakota. This position offers a mix of clinic, scheduled surgical cases, and call coverage in a collaborative practice.

Position Details

• Coverage: Ongoing

• Schedule: Approximately 14 working days per month with 10 days of call

• Practice Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient Clinic, Surgery, and Call

• Clinic: Evaluate and manage general surgery patients, including pre- and post-operative care

• Average Daily Census: 15 patients

• Average General Surgery Patients During 24-Hour Call: 0–5

• Scheduled Surgeries: Monday–Friday

• Emergency Surgery Call: 24/7 coverage as assigned

Required Procedures

• Abdominal surgery

• Endoscopy

• Liver procedures

• Stomach surgery

• Gallbladder surgery (Cholecystectomy)

• Appendectomy

• Colon surgery

• Laparoscopic procedures

• Spleen surgery

Qualifications

• Board Certified in General Surgery or Board Eligible (within 3 years of U.S. residency completion)

• Active North Dakota medical license

• Current DEA registration

• ATLS certification

• PALS certification
