Quick Facts:

• Location: AtlantiCare - Mainland & City Campus, Pomona, NJ
• Start Date: 07/01/2026
• Duration: 1-2 weeks per coverage period, starting July 2026
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with weekend call responsibilities
• Shift: 8 hours/day, total hours/week varies based on coverage needs
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens
• License/Certs: Active NJ medical license preferred, BLS, ACLS certifications required
• Experience: Board Certified in Cardiology, Non-Invasive specialty, with proven experience in adult/geriatric populations

What You’ll Do:

• Provide non-invasive cardiology consultations to adult and geriatric patients
• Perform echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and electrocardiograms (EKGs)
• Conduct treadmill stress testing and manage inpatient cardiac cases
• Collaborate with a team of cardiologists and healthcare providers
• Document patient encounters accurately within the Oracle/Cerner EMR system

What You Need:

• Medical license in New Jersey (or eligible to obtain)
• Board Certified in Cardiology
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 2 years of cardiology experience, specifically in non-invasive procedures
• Strong clinical skills in echocardiography and stress testing
• Comfort working in inpatient and outpatient environments

About the Assignment:
This assignment is at a leading facility in Pomona, NJ, with inpatient inpatient beds totaling 600 across two campuses, including 23 ICU beds. The facility offers a supportive environment for cardiology providers, with access to advanced EMR systems and a team of 24 cardiologists. The coverage helps address provider shortages, ensuring quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.
