Position Overview (

A respected North Carolina hospital is seeking experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in a Level II NICU.

This assignment consists of 24-hour in-house restricted call shifts with no callback responsibilities. Providers remain on-site throughout the shift while caring for assigned neonatal patients within a collaborative inpatient practice.

The NICU maintains a low daily census and offers an excellent work-life balance while providing meaningful neonatal care.

Provider Compensation: $2,500 per 24-hour in-house shift

Provider Pay Ranking: Top 10% of Neonatal Nurse Practitioner locum opportunities nationally (2026 market data).
