Redwood City, California Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist Permanent Opportunity

Come join our team in Redwood City, California, as we launch a new Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist program at Sequoia Hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity to help develop and shape a high-impact service line in a vibrant Bay Area community with a focus on patient-centered care and clinical excellence.

Schedule Details

• Schedule: 24-hour, in-house shifts
• Team Structure: 4 OB-GYN Hospitalists + 1 Medical Director
• Coverage: Ongoing, with a focus on collaborative, inpatient care

Clinical Scope

• OB and GYN triage and surgical procedures
• Labor and delivery management
• Obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Inpatient consults
• Working alongside hospital nursing teams and community OB-GYNs
• Level II NICU support with Stanford Medical Director oversight

Practice Environment
This opportunity is based at a community hospital in Redwood City, California, supporting approximately 1,200 births annually. The facility features a Level II NICU, maternal-fetal medicine support from Stanford, and a collaborative care environment dedicated to high-quality maternal and fetal health.

Requirements

• MD degree
• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• CA medical license (active and unrestricted)
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience preferred
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
• Ability to thrive in a team-based, hospital setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior leadership experience for Medical Director role
• Experience in developing new clinical programs
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
