• Position: Locum Tenens Pediatric Cardiovascular Anesthesiologist
• Location: Peoria, Illinois
• Start Date: August 3, 2026
• End Date: November 2, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Weekday coverage from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential extension to 5:00 PM depending on case volume
• Call Coverage: Weeknight call and weekend 24-hour call
• Weekend Expectation: Approximately 4 hours on-site during weekend call coverage
• Preferred Availability: 5-7 day blocks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $15,430 - $16,530

Physician Job Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible physician with MD or DO credentials
• At least 1 year of experience in pediatric anesthesiology or a closely related setting
• Experience with high-acuity pediatric anesthesia and congenital cardiac cases
• Comfort managing pediatric general anesthesia, pediatric cardiac anesthesia, congenital heart surgery, pump cases, and cath lab procedures
• Ability to provide weeknight and weekend call coverage
• IMLC accepted
• Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia coverage for a high-acuity pediatric cardiovascular program
• Manage a broad range of pediatric anesthesia cases, including complex cardiac procedures
• Support congenital heart surgery and cardiopulmonary bypass cases
• Provide anesthesia services for cardiac catheterization lab procedures
• Collaborate closely with the care team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care
• Respond to call coverage needs during evenings and weekends as scheduled
• Adapt to changing case volume while maintaining excellent clinical standards
