About the Position

• Schedule & Hours: Full-time ongoing coverage (40 hours per week). Shifts are structured as four 10-hour days, Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (with room for schedule flexibility). No call required.

• Practice Setting: Mixed clinical scope encompassing an inpatient hospital floor, outpatient specialty clinic, and academic training environments within a 270-bed acute care teaching facility.

• Patient Volume & Population: Averages approximately 18 patients per day. Adult and geriatric cardiovascular populations (Ages 18–100).

• Clinical Scope & Support: Work alongside 1 dedicated clinical team. While the APP does not perform invasive surgeries or procedures independently, you will handle comprehensive pre- and post-operative medical management for patients undergoing:

  • Interventional Cardiology: R/LHC, PCI, Balloon Angioplasty, Balloon Pumps.

  • Electrophysiology: Pacemaker and ICD implants (traditional and sub-Q), Loop recorder placement/explant, and complex Ablations (AVN, SVT, AFLUTTER).

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Fully integrated utilizing Epic charting software.

Requirements

• Education & Board Certification: Active Board Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).

• License & Credentials: Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania (PA) State License and active Federal DEA registration. (Facility is open to reviewing candidates who require licensure if they have a clean file).

• Certifications: Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.

• Core Skills: Clinical background or rotating proficiency in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, or Electrophysiology care models. Comfort collaborating within an academic teaching hospital environment is highly preferred.
