About the Position

• Schedule & Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with a 1-hour blocked lunch break). No call required.

• Flexibility: The facility highly prefers a full-time provider but is willing to be flexible for candidates offering close to a full-time schedule.

• Practice Setting & Program: Primarily an outpatient clinic setting attached to a hospital facility. The program is currently experiencing a period of growth, so they are seeking a flexible and adaptable provider. Inpatient consults are required occasionally but are not frequent.

• Clinical Scope & Infusion Details: General community-based medical oncology and hematology care. The attached infusion center features 15 chairs.

• Treatments & Cases Managed: Administration and oversight of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy regimens.

• Patient Volume: Averages 18 to 20 patients per day.

• Support Staff & Team: Work alongside an established team consisting of 1 full-time Medical Oncologist, 1 Nurse Practitioner (NP), and 3 CNAs/CMAs.

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Fully integrated utilizing Epic charting software. Bonus feature: AI charting assistance technology is available on-site to assist with documentation efficiency.

Requirements

• Education & Board Certification: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.

• License Required: Must hold an active, unrestricted New York (NY) State Medical License in hand.

• Minimum Experience: A minimum of 5 years of post-training clinical experience is required.

• EMR Proficiency: Recent, hands-on charting experience with Epic software is required.
