About the Position

  • Schedule & Hours: Full-time only (no overtime). 4 to 5 shifts per week (10 hours each). Shift times vary slightly according to daily clinical assignments:

    • 06:15 AM – 04:45 PM

    • 06:30 AM – 04:30 PM

    • 07:00 AM – 05:00 PM

  • Clinical Model: Medically Directed care team model operating at a 1:3 ratio (maximum 1:4).

  • Practice Setting & Scope: High-volume care inside a prominent 593-bed Level I Trauma center (York Hospital) and an affiliated Surgery & Rehabilitation facility. You will work collaboratively alongside anesthesiologists and surgeons.

  • Case Variety: Broad case mix providing extensive exposure to complex patient profiles. Areas include:

    • Trauma, Neuro & Spine, Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular & APS.

    • OB/GYN, Pediatrics, General Surgery, GI, Plastics, Orthopedics, and Robotics.

    • Non-Operating Room Anesthesia (NORA) locations.

  • Procedure Specifics: CRNAs manage epidurals without a physician present. Please note that CRNAs do not perform regional blocks at this facility.

  • Required Anesthesia Skills: Competency in GETA, MAC, Regional, Spinal, and Ultrasound-guided techniques.

  • Patient Population: Comprehensive anesthesia management covering all age groups.

  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Fully integrated utilizing Epic charting software.

Requirements

  • Education & Certification: Must be a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with active national board certification.

  • License & Credentials: Active Pennsylvania (PA) State Nursing License and active APRN certification in hand.

  • Certifications: Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical CRNA experience is strongly preferred.
