Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (Family Practice)

Position Overview

• Outpatient primary care, acute care, and wellness visits for employees and eligible family members
• Focus on wellness and prevention, acute episodic care, and chronic condition management
• Typical volume: up to 3 patients per hour
• Patient population: age 2 and older

Scope of Practice (may include)

• Primary care and acute episodic visits
• Workers’ comp injury evaluation and treatment, return to work and fit for duty determinations
• Occupational health services including pre employment physicals, drug and alcohol testing, audiometry, spirometry, respirator clearance
• Suturing and laceration repair, splinting, minor fracture care

EMR

• Athena experience preferred but not required

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa license (NP)
• National certification (NP)
• DEA required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Comfortable seeing pediatric patients (age 2 and older)

Credentialing and Onboarding Items (must be provided)

• BLS
• Background check documentation and attestations as required

• Online OSHA and HIPAA certifications must be completed prior to start (paid up to 1.5 hours)
