About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in Hematology/Oncology within an outpatient clinic setting. This position offers the chance to work within a collaborative oncology team providing care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy.

The provider will manage a high-volume patient panel in a growing clinical program while working alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a PA seeking a structured weekday schedule and meaningful work in oncology care.

Position Highlights:
• Locum tenens assignment beginning August 2026
• Initial 6-month duration with potential flexibility for extension
• Monday through Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Outpatient clinic setting with occasional inpatient consults
• Approximately 18–20 patients per day
• Epic EMR system (AI charting support available)
• Collaborative oncology care team
• No routine weekend coverage

Clinical Focus Includes:
• Chemotherapy administration and management
• Immunotherapy treatments
• Targeted therapy monitoring
• Hormone therapy management
• Oncology patient assessments and follow-up care
• Support for growing hematology/oncology program

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Active New York State Physician Assistant license required (in hand)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Epic EMR experience required
• Strong outpatient oncology experience preferred
• Experience in hematology/oncology or infusion center care strongly preferred
• Ability to manage high patient volumes efficiently
• Strong documentation and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Must maintain up-to-date work history with no significant unexplained gaps
