Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: 24-hour physician coverage
• Job Setting: Level 4 Emergency Department; 20 hospital beds and 6 ED beds; Annual ED Volume: 6,800
• Types of Cases: Moderate Sedation & Deep Sedation; Services include Physical Therapy, Rehab Unit, and Psychiatric Unit
• Credentialing: Estimated hospital privileging timeframe: 30-60 days; EMR: EPIC

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required if not EM trained; Procedural Sedation - Version 2 course through SCP University required if not BC in EM; Flu vaccination (within current flu season); TB test (past 12 months) or Chest X-Ray with positive TB; Documentation of case logs for past 2 years; Proof of completed CMEs for the last two years; Malpractice Coverage: $100K/$300K plus enrollment in LPCF (minimum 90-day enrollment for locums)
• Licensure: Active unrestricted Louisiana Medical License; Louisiana State Controlled Substance license; DEA with Louisiana address covering schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4 & 5; Supervising Physician License with Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners
