About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Hematologist/Oncologist for a 30-day assignment with our client in Virginia, starting Jul 13, 2026. This role involves both inpatient and some outpatient coverage, including oversight of a Nurse Practitioner, with daily shifts from 8am to 5pm. The successful Physician will manage a diverse range of cases and contribute to patient care through dedicated clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide inpatient coverage, with some outpatient responsibilities for physician vacation.
• Offer oversight for a Nurse Practitioner.
• Be willing and interested in enrolling patients in research studies.
• Provide call coverage.
• Manage acute leukemia cases.
• Address neutropenic fever.
• Treat lymphoma.
• Handle multiple myeloma.
• Manage sickle cell crises.
• Oversee Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) / Pulmonary Embolism (PE) management.
