• Position: Locum Tenens Pathology Physician

• Setting: On-site hospital-based pathology department
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks with potential to extend
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $7,580 - $8,120
• Call: No call required
• Volume: Approximately 140 pathology cases per day
• Case Mix: Frozen specimens and a robust FNA (IR) schedule; no autopsy

Pathology Physician Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Pathology Physician
• At least 1 year of pathology experience preferred
• Ability to manage a high-volume pathology workload efficiently and accurately
• Comfort working a weekday daytime schedule with no call responsibilities
• Strong diagnostic pathology skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams and procedural staff

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret pathology cases across a broad range of specimen types
• Perform frozen section evaluations as needed
• Support a busy FNA schedule in coordination with interventional radiology
• Provide timely, accurate diagnostic reporting for approximately 140 cases per day
• Contribute to efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
• Collaborate with the care team to support smooth daily operations
