Job Details
- Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – General Anesthesiology
- Employment Type: Contract role
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,810 - $6,120
- Shift Duration: 16-hour day shifts
- Schedule: Full scheduled shift coverage required; day shifts
- Case Mix: OB, ortho, GI, EP, and IR; minimal pediatrics; no neuro cases
- Call: Second call with beeper 1-2 times per week and occasional 24-hour in-house call
- Privileging Timeframe: Approximately 6-8 weeks
Job Requirements
- Current RN license and compliance with advanced practice nursing requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program
- Current certification or recertification through the AANA Council on Certification or Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists
- At least 1 year of CRNA experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a care team model within an anesthesia care team
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered anesthesia care
CRNA Responsibilities
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and procedures with patients
- Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia safely
- Monitor physiological status throughout surgical and procedural cases and respond to changes as needed
- Provide clinical intervention and support during a variety of anesthesia cases
- Collaborate with physicians and the anesthesia care team to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic charting systems
