About the Position

Position Overview 

One of our Partners in Pennsylvania is seeking a Neonatologist for a Level III NICU locum tenens opportunity offering a combination of inpatient NICU care, outpatient neonatal follow-up clinic, and neonatal call coverage.

This opportunity provides strong APP support, manageable census volumes, Epic EMR, and the ability to work within a well-established neonatal program serving a regional referral population.

Providers seeking recurring monthly coverage and a collaborative neonatal practice environment will find an excellent opportunity.

• Approximately one week of coverage per month
• Level III NICU
• 16-bed NICU (expandable to 20 beds)
• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
• High-risk delivery attendance
• High-risk C-section attendance
• Five in-house APPs providing 24/7 support
• Epic EMR
• Temporary privileges available
• 30-day credentialing timeline
• HPA Healthcare is Joint Commission-certified
• HPA Healthcare is an active member of NALTO

• Manage Level III NICU patients
• Conduct daily NICU rounds
• Participate in neonatal follow-up clinic
• Attend high-risk deliveries
• Attend high-risk C-sections
• Provide neonatal consultations
• Manage ventilated newborns
• Manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions
• Perform neonatal procedures as clinically indicated
• Participate in 24/7 call coverage while assigned
• Document care within Epic EMR

Neonatal Intensive Care

• Level II Nursery
• Level III NICU
• Invasive Ventilation (ETT)
• Non-Invasive Ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP)
• Nitric Oxide Therapy (iNO)
• Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues
