Quick Facts:

• Location: San Diego, CA
• Shift: Days, Monday - Friday, 0800-1600, no weekends or holidays
• Hours/Week: 40
• Employment Type: Full-time, 1 year contract at minimum with options to extend
• License/Certs: Active CA Medical License, AHA/ARC BLS Certification
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in Internal Medicine (preferred)

What You’ll Do:

• Provide outpatient adult primary care, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions
• Conduct physical exams and health assessments
• Order, interpret, and review labs and imaging
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with specialists and healthcare team members
• Mentor medical students, interns, and residents
• Document clinical care accurately, adhering to HIPAA standards
• Participate in quality improvement and ongoing education
• Manage preventive care and chronic disease strategies

What You Need:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited U.S., Canada, or approved international medical school (ECFMG if applicable)
• Completion of ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine
• Unrestricted Medical License in California
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
• Minimum 2 years of outpatient Internal Medicine experience (preferred)
• Strong communication and patient management skills
