About the Position

Our client in Illinois is seeking a skilled Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 48-day assignment starting Jul 29, 2026. This role involves managing a high volume of critically ill ICU patients, performing essential bedside procedures, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive patient care. While specific shift hours are detailed elsewhere, this position offers the opportunity to provide expert care in a dynamic critical care setting.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage approximately 10–15 patients per day
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients
  • Perform bedside procedures, including central and arterial line placements
  • Manage post-operative cardiovascular surgery patients
  • Provide care for neurocritical care patients, including those with subdural hemorrhages and external ventricular drains (EVDs)
  • Participate in the management of patients requiring ventricular assist devices (VADs), VA ECMO, and heart transplant support
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment plans
