About the Position

Pediatrician Locum Tenens Opportunity – South Carolina

A well-established outpatient pediatric practice in South Carolina is seeking a Pediatrician for ongoing locum tenens coverage beginning September 2026 while the organization recruits a permanent provider.

Position Highlights

• 100% Outpatient Pediatrics

• Monday-Friday clinic schedule

• One-hour lunch break daily

• No hospital call

• Minimal after-hours phone call coverage (typically 1-2 calls per week)

• Ongoing assignment with potential for long-term coverage

• Collaborative, team-based care environment

Patient Population

• Newborns through 21 years of age

Practice Setting

• Work alongside a highly experienced team of Advanced Practice Providers

• Physician supervision of APPs required

• Strong support staff in place

• On-site laboratory services available

• Established patient base

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician

• Active South Carolina license preferred

• Recent and proficient EPIC EMR experience required

• Comfortable supervising APPs

Additional Information

• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days

• September 2026 start date

• Ongoing need until permanent provider is hired
