Position Overview

One of our Partners in Pennsylvania is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for a full-time locum tenens opportunity supporting a newly opening Medical Oncology and Hematology practice.

Compensation Highlights:

• $500/hour provider pay
• $4,500 per 24-hour weekend call
• $850 per weeknight call
• $550/hour callback pay after first 2 included callback hours
• Top 10% provider compensation compared to similar 2026 Hematology/Oncology opportunities

This opportunity offers a Monday–Friday schedule, Epic EMR, strong clinical support, inpatient consult opportunities, and the chance to help establish a growing oncology program within the WellSpan Health system.

• 4-day workweek may be considered
• Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• 1:2 weeknight and weekend call rotation
• New Medical Oncology and Hematology practice opening September 2026
• Adult patient population only
• Approximately 10 patients per day initially, expected to grow
• Clinic located inside the hospital
• Community-based oncology and hematology practice
• Approximately 60% Oncology / 40% Hematology case mix
• Inpatient consult responsibilities as needed
• Epic EMR
• Dedicated RN, MA, Navigator, and front-office support
• HPA Healthcare is Joint Commission-certified
• HPA Healthcare is an active member of NALTO

• Evaluate and manage adult oncology and hematology patients
• Develop and oversee treatment plans
• Manage chemotherapy and supportive care services
• Provide inpatient consultative services as needed
• Participate in weeknight and weekend call coverage
• Collaborate with nursing, navigation, and ancillary support teams
• Work alongside employed Hematology/Oncology physician
• Document patient care within Epic
