About the Position
Description
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity at a community acute care hospital in Pennsylvania.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independent night coverage, performing regional anesthesia for a high-volume orthopedic service, and providing obstetric anesthesia services. Providers should be available for sporadic solo night coverage and must be willing to work nights on a regular basis.
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: August 3, 2026
- Contract Length: Ongoing
- Coverage Needed: 1–4 weeks per month
- Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
- Expedited Credentialing available for candidates with a clean file
- Active Pennsylvania License or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) required at appliciation
- 2-hour gratis period applies

Job Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties.
- Deliver anesthesia care for both adult and pediatric patients.
- Perform regional anesthesia, including nerve blocks for orthopedic procedures.
- Administer spinal anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care (MAC).
- Utilize ultrasound-guided anesthesia techniques.
- Provide obstetric anesthesia coverage.
- Collaborate with CRNAs in a care team model.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care during overnight coverage.
Qualifications
- Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Anesthesiology
- Active Pennsylvania Medical License or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) required
- ACLS Certification required
- PALS Certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred
- Must be comfortable with solo night coverage
- Must be willing to work night shifts
Working Hours
- Schedule: Four (4) 16-hour night shifts per week
- Days: Monday through Thursday
- Shift Time: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Coverage Needed: 1–4 weeks per month
