What You’ll Do

• Conduct comprehensive pediatric eye exams, including binocular and strabismus assessments
• Perform contact lens fittings, including complex/pediatric fits
• Support diagnostic imaging and work collaboratively with ophthalmologists and technicians
• Manage patients with developmental delays, neuro-ophthalmic conditions, and spectrum disorders
• Document your assessments and treatment plans in Epic EMR system
• Educate patients and families about eye health and vision correction options
• Handle high-acuity pediatric cases with sensitivity and skill

What You Need

Required:

• Valid California Optometrist license
• BLS certification
• At least 3 years of experience working with pediatric populations in a medical setting
• Experience with complex pediatric patients, including assessments for strabismus and binocular vision

Preferred:

• Pediatric optometry residency training
• Experience in outpatient or hospital-based pediatric ophthalmology
