What You’ll Do
- Conduct comprehensive pediatric eye exams, including binocular and strabismus assessments
- Perform contact lens fittings, including complex/pediatric fits
- Support diagnostic imaging and work collaboratively with ophthalmologists and technicians
- Manage patients with developmental delays, neuro-ophthalmic conditions, and spectrum disorders
- Document your assessments and treatment plans in Epic EMR system
- Educate patients and families about eye health and vision correction options
- Handle high-acuity pediatric cases with sensitivity and skill
What You Need
Required:
- Valid California Optometrist license
- BLS certification
- At least 3 years of experience working with pediatric populations in a medical setting
- Experience with complex pediatric patients, including assessments for strabismus and binocular vision
Preferred:
- Pediatric optometry residency training
- Experience in outpatient or hospital-based pediatric ophthalmology
