What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, stage, and develop personalized treatment plans for various cancers
- Manage chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly
- Manage side effects and provide supportive care to improve quality of life
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses and treatment options
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and navigators
- Participate in clinical trials and quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with advances in oncology guidelines and practices
- Mentor other healthcare professionals within the department
What You Need
Required:
- Medical license in Vermont or eligibility to obtain
- Prior oncology experience (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience in outpatient oncology care
- Ability to work independently in a rural outpatient setting
