• Patient Demographics: High risk obstetrics (80%), low risk obstetrics (20%), gynecology (10%)
• Case Mix: Obstetrics (high and low risk), gynecology, C-section (25%)

• No. of Beds in Department: 10 L&D beds
• Trauma Level: Level 1 (St. Vincent), L&D Level 4
• EMR System: EPIC
• Specialty Backup Available: Other OB/GYNs, OB residents
• Support Staff Available: Residents, nursing staff

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.)
• High Risk Pregnancy (i.e. with Toxemia, Diabetes, Class II or Higher Cardiacs, Chronic Lung Disease, etc.)
• FHR Interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
• OB ultrasounds – Performance of Interpretation
• OB ultrasounds – Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
• OB ultrasounds – Performance of Level II/Targeted (Anatomic)
• Routine Delivery – Vaginal
• Low Forceps
• Decision-Making for C-Section
• Complicated Delivery – C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc.
• VBAC’s
• Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
• Operative/Major Gynecology – Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA’s, Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only-Tubal Ligation, LOA’s, Chromal Tubation
• Surgical Gynecology – Open
• Office/Minor Gynecology – IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.

• Board: Board Certified (OB/GYN)
• Licenses: Active Ohio Medical License
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS

• Provide OB hospitalist coverage for Labor and Delivery.
• Manage low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients.
• Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and VBACs.
• Collaborate with OB residents and midwives in a teaching setting.
• Perform gynecological procedures including operative and office-based procedures.
