About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatologist for a 30-day assignment with our client in California, commencing Sep 1, 2026. This role involves managing complex neonatal cases and providing essential care through day and night shifts, from 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am. The ideal Physician will provide expert medical care for critically ill neonates, performing a range of procedures and managing high-risk deliveries.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage PICC Lines
- Perform intubations
- Place UA/UV lines
- Perform chest tube placements
- Perform catheterizations
- Conduct needle aspirations
- Manage high-risk deliveries and c-sections
- Address cleft palate and cleft lip cases
- Manage complex birth defects
- Treat respiratory conditions
- Manage diaphragmatic hernias
- Address genetic disorders and malformations
- Oversee high-risk infant follow-up programs
- Care for infants of diabetic mothers
- Manage intestinal obstructions
- Treat omphalocele
- Care for premature infants
- Address primary metabolic defects
- Manage spinal cord defects
- Implement therapeutic hypothermia programs for birth asphyxia
- Perform tracheostomies
- Provide ventilatory support
