About the Position

Emergency Medicine Physician

Location: Louisiana

Schedule: 12 hour shifts. Day shift 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and night shift 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Minimum of 3 shifts per block as referenced.

Position Overview

• Provide emergency medicine coverage in a community hospital emergency department.
• Annual emergency department volume referenced as approximately 19,000.
• Trauma designation referenced as Level III.
• Charting system: Epic.
• Advanced practice support is available as scheduled by the site.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO.
• Residency trained in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine as accepted by the site.
• Board certified or board eligible as accepted by the site.
• Active Louisiana medical license.
• DEA with Louisiana address and Louisiana controlled substance registration as required.
• ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS as required by the site.
• Case logs for the past two years as required by the site.
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.

Credentialing and Onboarding

• Estimated credentialing timeframe referenced as 61 to 90 days.
