About the Position

Position Overview 

One of our Partners in North Carolina is seeking a Board-Certified Transfusion Medicine Pathologist for an ongoing locum assignment beginning immediately.

This opportunity offers long-term stability within a large academic health system and Level I trauma center supporting a well-established blood bank and transfusion medicine service line. Providers will work collaboratively with a team of clinical pathologists while participating in weekday coverage and shared call responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide transfusion medicine and blood bank pathology coverage
• Participate in transfusion reaction evaluations
• Support blood utilization and blood bank operations
• Collaborate with pathology and laboratory teams
• Participate in rotating night and weekend call coverage
• Consult with clinical teams regarding transfusion management
• Document and manage cases within Epic EMR
