About the Position

A respected acute care hospital and affiliated cardiology practice in Gettysburg, PA is seeking a BC/BE Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity beginning August 2026.

This assignment offers an excellent blend of inpatient and outpatient cardiology coverage, a flexible rotating schedule, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative, well-supported clinical environment.

Position Highlights

• Ongoing locums assignment with long-term potential
• Combination of clinic coverage and hospital call
• Flexible schedule structure:
  • One week inpatient call coverage (Monday 7 AM – Monday 7 AM)
  • One week outpatient clinic coverage (Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM)
• Full-time coverage preferred, though multiple providers may be utilized

Clinical Responsibilities

Providers will participate in a diverse cardiology practice environment including:

• Hospital consults
• Inpatient cardiology coverage
• Hospital call coverage
• TEE procedures
• Echocardiography
• Nuclear testing

Practice Environment

• EPIC EMR
• 74-bed acute care hospital
• Academic and training exposure available
• Collaborative support staff including dedicated medical assistants
• Average patient volume:
  • Hospital: approximately 20 patients/day
  • Clinic: approximately 18 patients/day

Requirements

• Board Eligible in Cardiology
• Active Pennsylvania license required
• DEA required
• Clean file preferred for temporary privileges
