About the Position

We are seeking a Board‑Eligible Interventional Radiologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment providing on-site interventional radiology coverage with scheduled day shifts and evening call responsibilities.

This role is designed to backfill a full-time vacancy and will continue until a permanent hire is made.

Schedule Details:

• Day shifts: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Evening on-call coverage required
• No overnight call
• Ongoing coverage need

The Interventional Radiologist will perform a broad range of on-site IR procedures, working in a non-trauma hospital environment. No academic or telehealth experience is required.

Procedures Include:

• Arteriograms
• CT-guided and fluoroscopy-guided biopsies
• Thermal ablations
• Embolization procedures
• Kyphoplasty
• Gastrostomy tube placement
• PleurX catheter insertion
• Nephrostomy tube placement
• Port placements
• Tunneled and non-tunneled catheter insertions
• Dialysis graft declots
• Biliary drain placement

The physician will work collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient procedural care.

Requirements

Completion of Interventional Radiology fellowship required
Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology (must obtain board certification within 5 years)
Active South Carolina Medical License
Ability to provide onsite procedural coverage and evening call
Comfortable managing a full spectrum of interventional procedures independently
No trauma experience required
Strong clinical judgment and procedural proficiency
