About the Position

Take your cardiothoracic expertise to Grand Forks, North Dakota, with a high-impact locum tenens opportunity designed for experienced surgeons seeking robust surgical exposure, full-spectrum case variety, and premium compensation.

This assignment offers a dynamic blend of inpatient care, surgical cases, and outpatient consults, all within a well-supported environment featuring a dedicated CT surgery team and fully staffed OR. You’ll play a critical role covering call while delivering life-saving procedures and comprehensive patient care.

📅 Coverage Needs:

• Primary Block: May 25, 2026 (7 AM) – June 1, 2026 (7 AM)
• Additional Dates: July 24 – August 3 | September 25 – October 12
• Schedule: 24/7 call coverage throughout assignment on an ongoing basis

🏥 Practice Setting:

• Location: Grand Forks, ND
• Setting: Primarily inpatient (with outpatient consults preferred)
• Daily Workflow:
  • 1–2 surgeries per day (Mon–Fri) depending on caseload
  • Inpatient rounding + call coverage
  • Afternoon outpatient consults post-surgery

👥 Support Structure:

• Cardiothoracic Surgery APP support
• Dedicated clinic LPN & RN team
• Full operating room staff ensuring efficient case flow

🛠️ Required Expertise:

• Board Certified
• Proven experience in:
  • CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
  • Valve repair & replacement
  • Pericardial window procedures
  • Lung resections
  • Vascular surgeries (including endarterectomies)
• ND license or IMLC
